Summer Vegetables are in Peak Season: Photo’s from our kitchen, our summer meals and an odd looking mango

In our household we love to eat light veggie meals in the summertime. We have lots of local fresh produce from Florida, Georgia and Tennessee available now and all the summer produce is at its peak, so we create meals around what is available at our farmer’s market.

Beets and beet tops sautéed in garlic, olive oil and sea salt served with spiced rice on top of a fresh fennel salad

Roasted Pablano’s

Scraping the seeds out of pablano’s 

 

Summer Salad with Garden Fresh Radishes

This is a mango from a friends mango tree. Notice the odd hook it grew, it was still a very sweet and juicy tasting mango.
