About Jay’s Blog

Hello friend!

jay metro tweak

Thanks for visiting my blog –

I created this blog to “house” the plethora of nagging inspirations, ideas, rants, raves, likes, dislikes, and most of all – to share my artistic works. I am sure you will find something that moves you in some way, either forwards or perhaps, although I hope not – even backwards.

I have been on this crazy artistic ride my entire adult life (just know, it is many years!) and hope I have gained some valuable knowledge to impart with you.

I am a trained Visual Artist, I studied Fine Arts with a concentration in Painting and Drawing and obtained a certificate in Art Therapy. Late in life I began to write poetry (to my surprise, and delight). I had experienced a feeling, that some entity took over my body and mind, and words (verse) kept hounding me. I had this same phenomena occur as a child. At the time, I didn’t pay much attention to what was happening in my thoughts. Words didn’t come easy to me, and besides, I considered myself a visual person. But – I had journaled for many years prior – and it evolved into poetry – so – I obeyed the prompts and let it flow!

I am absolute in my wish, to soak in as much information as I can.

And, I will churn it – and spit it out – into shiny new creations as fast as they present themselves. Whether these creations take the form of art, poetry, food, or personal essay’s – I will continue to “journey on” with a serious love of the creative process. My hope is that the results, will match this love I have of the process, and inspire continued exploration(s) – from the inside out – of my creative mind.

I hope you enjoy the ride!
